Race, Religion and Belief

Race Religion and Belief Staff Equality Forum is a place for colleagues to have a platform and a voice regardless of their race, religion or belief. We encourage members to feel empowered to speak out, flourish and be heard. Our Strategic Executive Sponsor is David Pattison (Director of Governance). Tim Johnson (Chief Executive Officer) has made a firm commitment to be visible and attend every meeting.

Since June 2020 the forum has increased in size and colleagues have shared their lived experiences of inequalities, thoughts and feelings. This has helped shape our Black Lives Matter and Equalities Action Plan.

On any given morning the forum Teams chat is active with discussions of news, events that have taken place or celebrations and well wishes. We praise colleagues on their achievements and encourage each other. At the very least we tune in for a daily affirmation from the Chair.
