Gender, Maternity and Paternity

Gender Maternity and Paternity Staff Equality Forum is a place for colleagues to share, discuss and progress issues around Gender, Paternity and Maternity. Our Strategic Executive Sponsor is Claire Nye (Director of Finance).

Since 2021 a Gender Movement Action Plan has been developed. This follows the concerns from staff following the murder of Sarah Everard. A special meeting was held and from this discussions were had around safety of walking to car parks in the darkness, walking around Wolverhampton at night, behaviour of colleagues and around education. The Action Plan itself aims to tackle some of these key areas by investigating what can be done to promote safety, cohesion and education to ensure the safety of our workers.
